Mechatronic closing elements combine centrally wired online access control systems with mechanical locking systems. This results in a new type of access control that offers many advantages. Mechatronic closing elements can be operated offline or be connected by a wireless connection to an online access control system. This enables access to a non-wired door by means of transponders.

How do online wireless systems differ from offline systems?

With the online wireless system, the access points with mechatronic locking elements are permanently connected to the access control system via a wireless connection. This gives the locking elements real-time access to all necessary information about authorization rules and changes. With offline access control, the mechatronic locking elements are not connected to the access control system. Communication takes place exclusively via transponders. With offline access points, an RFID writing reader cryplock BLM10 H5B transmits data for access authorization to a transponder. The authorizations are transmitted when the transponder is presented to the mechatronic locking element. A time model can be used to realize time-limited access.
