What are magnetic contacts?

In the stand-by state, i.e., when the window or door is closed, the magnet is located right next to a reed switch, so that the switching contact is closed. If the window or door is opened, the magnet moves away from the reed switch and the contact opens. The alarm system can detect this as an alarm mode and evaluate it accordingly. Magnetic contacts are easy to install, reliable, and cost-effective. They can be used both in wired and in wireless security systems. They should be treated as one part of a comprehensive security system, not as the only measure against intrusion.

How do glass-break detectors work?

Glass-break detectors are used primarily in security-critical environments to enable the timely prevention or detection of intrusions, vandalism, or unauthorized access. First and foremost, they are designed to trigger alarms or send messages if the glass is broken or damaged.
