TELENOT’s thermal detectors continuously monitor the temperature in a room. They are able to detect fires by recognizing sudden or significant increases in temperature. They are particularly useful in environments in which optical smoke detectors could be triggered erroneously due to dust, steam, or other particles. They detect fires even if the fire is creating hardly any or no smoke, for example fires that have only just started or have started in very well ventilated rooms.

Reliable detection in extreme environments
TELENOT’s thermal loop detector 3309 uses a heat-sensitive electrical resistor, known as a thermistor, to detect risk of fires. The design, featuring an encapsulated housing, allows it to be used in the open air or high-humidity environments. The detector features three response algorithms which allow it to function even under extreme conditions.
