Smoke aspiration systems – reliable early fire detection, even in harsh environment

Thanks to highly sensitive sensors, TELENOT’s aspirating smoke detector SecuriRAS ASD 535 detects fires during pyrolysis – that is, before any flames or smoke become visible – and triggers a warning. This early alarm system helps you to minimize damage caused by fire.

How does the aspirating smoke detector work?

In order to reliably detect fires, the aspirating smoke detector SecuriRAS ASD 535/532 features a high-powered fan that continuously aspirates air over aspiration points, guiding it over highly sensitive smoke detectors. Integrated air flow monitoring for each pipeline constantly checks for broken pipes and contamination. Expanded to include filters, separators, and purging fixtures, this system allows for reliable early fire detection even in challenging environmental conditions. The intelligent smoke sensors can, based on particle size, distinguish smoke from disturbance variables – dust particles are automatically ignored, avoiding false alarms. Three preliminary signals and two main alarms are parameterizable per sensor, all of which can be transmitted to the fire alarm control units directly via the I/O unit with isolator 4461 thanks to floating relays

This technology fulfills the requirements set out in DIN VDE 0833-2. Integrated monitoring systems continuously monitor the pipeline for breaks or contamination, as well as detecting changes in the volume of air. The aspirating smoke detectors are in compliance with DIN EN 54-20 classes A, B, and C. Depending on the settings, the system detects even the tiniest smoke particles.
