Intelligent technology
In the comstar pro, mirror optics divide the surveillance area of the detector into wedge-shaped sectors. Infrared heat radiation of the type emitted by the human body is registered within each sector. Fluctuating room temperatures do not play a role here. A person walking through a sector is immediately detected. Conversely, the detector ignores slow changes in temperature (e.g., room temperature). The dual versions of the comstar pro range are suitable for rooms with strong air and heat turbulence. These work with a combination of infrared and microwave sensors. An alarm is only triggered if both the infrared and the microwave sensor detect movement. The motion detectors are VdS-certified and meet all the requirements of European standards EN 50131-2-2 and 2-4.

XTRAP signal processing was developed especially for this detector family. This technology stands out with excellent false alarm prevention and outstanding detection characteristics. The design developed by Luigi Colani is consistent across all variants of the comstar pro range – regardless of whether they use infrared sensors or a combination of infrared and microwave sensors for detection or whether you need a volumetric or curtain detector. This means you can easily integrate a wide variety of detector types into a single security solution while also maintaining a coherent look for the interior design. The comstar pro is also available for different installation technologies using intelligent BUS-1 technology, conventional wiring, and as a wireless detector.
